Art Work


As commercial artists, our role is to collaborate with industry manufacturers and service providers, using our combined skills to help capture attention and effectively communicate the values of what they do. In the spirit of art, we recognise that a work of art is something skilfully created, designed to be beautiful, or to express an idea or feeling.

Eric Gill, in his 1934 book Art, asserts that “Art embraces all making—all things made are works of art.”
As a follower of the Arts & Crafts Movement, Gill reflects on the evolution of human work and art, comparing the medieval era with the modern world shaped by religion, geography, government, and industry. He explores the shift from viewing art as a specialised field to a broader understanding that encompasses all forms of skilled creation.

Gill’s idea of distinguishing between the “workman” and the “artist” helped expand the concept of art beyond the confines of traditional “fine” arts. Prior to the Industrial Revolution, art was of interest primarily to specialists, and before the Renaissance, it had little cultural relevance at all.

Gill’s book was intended for the general public, not just for artists, connoisseurs, or collectors. He sought to redefine art as something integral to everyday life, encompassing not only paintings and sculptures but also the practical items—furniture and utensils—that everyone either makes or buys.

In this light, we see our work as commercial artists in a similar vein. Our purpose is not just to create visually appealing designs but to make meaningful contributions that blend functionality, helping organisations communicate their essence and values effectively.
By aligning ourselves with this broader, more inclusive view of art, we aim to make a positive impact that resonates with people on multiple levels, bridging the gap between industry and artistry.
