Wales Media Awards 2017
A lot has changed in the world of journalism since we first came on board as a supporter of the Journalists’ Charity little more than a year ago. Now more than ever, we need journalism to continue to pursue the truth and to help elevate the stories that matter and those in the profession need our continued support.
So it was our great privilege to once again provide our expertise in the areas of graphic design, brand identity, 3D visual, animation/video, print production and event co-ordination to the 2017 Wales Media Awards.
The WMAs are a great platform to promote the importance of the work carried out by the Journalists’ Charity and to recognise the achievements of journalists in Wales. Of course, not only is it a prestigious event to be involved in… it’s also a great night out too!
Held at the Mecure Holland House Hotel in Cardiff and hosted by Dermot Murnaghan (Sky News, ITV, BBC), the awards evening was a great success and our director, Elfed Evans, had the honour of presenting the Celf sponsored award for Camera Operator of the Year to this year’s recipient, ITN’s Dai Baker.
Other sponsors included; Comtek Serrento Networks, Aston Martin, Camelot, Cardiff Metropolitan University, Freshwater, National Union of Journalists, Welsh Government, Western Power Distribution, Cleartech, Mercure Hotels, Natasha Hirst Photography, Signs Express, Specialist Models, Spencer David, Gemini Digital Print and University of South Wales.
